How the Silverback Gorilla beat the Lion

He just simply said that he would be willing to put his life on the line, even forfeit his life for the survival of his family.  The Lion just was not willing to die for others. The Gorilla said that his only purpose in life was to give so that others may have more.

I look daily not only to protect my family but to be able to provide others the ability to have food on a daily basis so they may live a better life.   I am willing to make the sacrifice and I am willing to give first.  Lion felt that it was others responsibility to give and his right to take.

Gorilla said “I may fall, I may not… if I do not fall,  I know that I will be able to continue giving and others will respect me for giving the best fight I have to give.  If I do fall, there will be someone else to replace me,  to carry on and to lead my family to prosperity.  My numbers are great… Not because I took my power from someone, but because I had to prove that I could handle the power first.  I gave first so others can have more.  My Family will take up the call in my absence so they can continue and we are all committed to forfeiting our lives so others can live.  For, all Silverbacks work together for the greater good of the whole.

The Lion said “I am only one, I am strong; I know that I can take you… I cannot take you all.”

The secret to winning and being successful in anything is giving first so that others may prosper.  Never back down!  Give it your all, stand by what you believe and be in the service of many.

My Name is Jose Figueroa and in my heart and in my actions I am a Silverback!
